Mother Calls Cops On Son Who Killed Father In Fairfax County, Police Say

Police say that a man is in custody after allegedly stabbing his father to death and injuring his mother during a domestic incident overnight in Fairfax County.

Fairfax County Police Second Lt. James Curry said that officers were called shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10 to the 1200 block of Colonial Road in McLean when a woman reported that her son had stabbed her husband.

Upon arrival at the home, Curry said that the son - whose name has not been released - was taken into custody, and they found her husband inside the home with trauma to his body.

Life-saving measures were taken by first responders, according to Curry, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman who called the police was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries described to be non-life-threatening.

No other details were immediately released. The nature of the domestic disturbance has not been announced.
